Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (機動戦士ガンダム00, Kidō Senshi Gandamu Daburuō?) es la ultima serie de la gran saga de Gundam , emitida por TBS y MBS, como reemplazo a Terra e.... Esta dirigida por Seiji Mizushima y escrita por Yōsuke Kuroda y los diseños corren a cargo de Yun Kōga. Como ya hizo con Code Geass, Sunrise emitira 25 capitulos, hara un parón, y emitirá la segunda temporada.

La historia tomará lugar en el año 2307 de nuestra época, y con esto marca un punto de separación con Universal Century o el Cosmic Era de Mobile Suit Gundam o Gundam Seed respectivamente. En esta epoca, el petróleo es un bien escaso y la humanidad tiene que confiar principalmente en la energía solar. Este mundo está dividido en tres: La Unión de energía solar y naciones libres (ユニオン; basada en los EEUU), La liga de reforma humana (人類革新連盟; basada en China, Russia e India) y y la Unión avanzada Europea basada en la Union Europea. Las constantes guerras por motivos religiosos, energéticos o colonizadores hace actuar a “Celestial Being” (Seres Celestiales), una “organización empeñada en erradicar la guerra” que pretende utilizar a los Gundams para lograrlo. El protagonismo recae en Setsuna F. Seiei (刹那・F・セイエイ, Setsuna F. Seiei?), un joven que de pequeño se vió envuelto en la guerra en medio-oriente. Ahora se le ha asignado el GN-001 Gundam Exia, especializado en combate cuerpo a cuerpo. También, junto con tres jóvenes más, forma parte de Celestial Being.

SINOPSIS

2312 A.D. Cuatro años han pasado desde la batalla final entre Celestial Beig y Fuerzas de la UN. La humanidad, después de haber establecido la Federación de Terrestre, constituye una fuerza de seguridad independiente.
